Vrij Parkeren Leiden bestaat zes maanden en dat gaan we vieren!
Op 13 Augustus om 17:00 organiseert Vrij Parkeren Leiden een filmavond.
We zullen een film aanzetten genaamd “project A” over hedendaags anarchisme.
De film duurt 1 uur en driekwartier, we zullen dus klaar zijn rond 19:00 met een kleine pauze in het midden.
Breng je eigen snacks. Er zullen wel frietjes worden gemaakt.
De ruimte waar de filmavond zal zijn is rolstoeltoegankelijk. Het adres is: Van der Werfstraat 39
Om 20:00 organiseert Onbeschoft Distro een “Tekno on foot”.
Dit houd in dat we een speaker (sorry, nog geen volledige soundsystem) op een bakfiets zetten en samen naar Park Cronesteyn gaan lopen. Er zal een set van Amelie Lens (niet Live) worden gedraaid van 1 uur en 45 minuten. Het startpunt is de Lammermarkt in Leiden.
Onbeschoft organiseert dit als zowel als een feest als een protest. Onbeschoft vind dat plezier en amusement tot op een ongezond niveau is gecommercialiseert en geprivatiseerd. We worden weggedrukt in bars, cafes en festivals waar we steeds meer en meer worden leeggetrokken voor ons geld. Wij vinden dat er meer ruimte voor plezier in de openbare ruimte moet zijn, zonder winstmotief. Gebruik van de openbare ruimte voor amusement zou zonder vergunningen, torenhoge onnodige kosten en nodeloze bureaucratie moeten zijn. Wij hopen met dit feest hier een directe verandering in te kunnen aanbrengen.
In lijn met onze normen en waarden hebben we daarom geen vergunning aangevraagd en de politie niet op de hoogte gesteld van dit feest/protest. Dit is namelijk niet wettelijk verplicht om te doen. Wij zijn een bewegend feest, waardoor we nergens langer dan een paar minuten voor geluidsoverlast zullen zorgen. Een vergunning is daarom niet verplicht.
Wel is het verplicht om een melding te maken van een evenement. Helaas hebben wij dat niet kunnen doen. De redenen hiervoor kun je zien in de afbeeldingen hieronder van het evenementen-portal van de gemeente leiden. Dit is een goede illustratie van hoe moeilijk het de gewone mens (in tegenstelling tot alle instituten en studentenverenigingen) wordt gemaakt om een evenement in de openbare ruimte te houden.
Ook kunnen wij, als politiek feest, niet deze portal gebruiken. Maar een demonstratie is niet verplicht om van te voren te melden. We hebben namelijk het recht op demonstreren in de grondwet staan. Het Portal van de gemeente is dus ongrondwettelijk. Normaliter wordt het gezien als ‘common courtesy’ om de politie van tevoren op de hoogte stellen. Wij zijn van mening dat de politie een verwerpelijke organisatie is en wij hun ‘hulp’ niet nodig zullen hebben. Buiten het feit dat het niet verplicht is, zullen wij ook vanuit politieke overtuiging de politie dus niet op de hoogte stellen.
Alles aan dit feest/demonstratie is dus legaal. Wij zijn ook niet van plan om tijdens het feest aan illegale activiteiten deel te nemen. Er zal daarom geen arrestantengroep zijn. Als je als gast toch illegale activiteiten doet, doe dat dan op eigen risico.
Er zullen verkeersregelaars te fiets aanwezig zijn. Mocht er politie ter plaatse zijn en vragen hebben kunnen zij met deze mensen in gesprek gaan. Ben je te gast en spreekt een agent je aan? Verwijs ze naar deze mensen.
Ook zal er water in de bakfiets aanwezig zijn om uitdroging te voorkomen (het wordt heeeeel warm).

Vrij Parkeren Leiden has been around for six months and we are going to celebrate that!
On August 13 at 17:00, Vrij Parkeren. Leiden organizes a movie night.
We will screen a movie called “project A” about contemporary anarchism.
The film lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes, so we will be finished around 19:00 with a small intermission in the middle.
Bring your own snacks. There will be fries.

This means that we put a speaker (sorry, not a complete sound system yet) on a cargo bike and walk to Park Cronesteyn together. There will be a set of Amelie Lens (not Live) of 1 hour and 45 minutes. The starting point is the Lammermarkt in Leiden.
Onbeschoft organizes this as both a party and a protest. Onbeschoft thinks fun and entertainment has been commercialized and privatized to an unhealthy level. We are pushed away in bars, cafes and festivals where we are increasingly being drained for our money. We believe that there should be more space for fun in public space, without a profit motive. Use of public space for entertainment must be without permits, sky-high unnecessary costs and unnecessary bureaucracy. We hope to be able to make an immediate change in this with this celebration.
In line with our standards and values, we have therefore not applied for a permit and have not informed the police about this party/protest. This is not required by law to do. We are a moving party, so we will not cause any noise nuisance anywhere for more than a few minutes. A permit is therefore not required.
However, it is mandatory to report an event. Unfortunately, we were unable to do that. The reasons for this can be seen in the images below from the municipality’s event portal. This is a good illustration of how difficult it is for ordinary people (unlike all institutions and student associations) to hold an event in a public space.
Also, as a political event, we cannot use this portal. But a demonstration is not mandatory to report in advance. We have the right to protest written in the constitution. The Municipal Portal is thus unconstitutional. It is normally seen as ‘common courtesy’ to inform the police in advance. We believe that the police are a reprehensible organization and we will not need their ‘help’. We will therefore not inform the police for political reasons as well, besides the fact that it isn’t mandatory to do so.
Everything about this party/demonstration is legal. We also do not intend to participate in illegal activities during the party. There will therefore be no Arrest group. If you do engage in illegal activities as a guest, do so at your own risk.
There will be traffic controllers on bicycles. If the police are on site and have questions, they can talk to these people. Are you a guest and an officer speaks to you? Refer them to these people.
There will also be water in the cargo bike to prevent dehydration (it will get very hot).
